Jamie E. Thompson
Jamie is an ocean education specialist working at the National Museum of Natural History to help museum goers understand the importance of deep coral habitats. She has a background in marine ecology and earned her PhD in Marine Biology at Texas A&M University at Galveston where her research focused on the ecology of Texas wetlands, particularly the shifting plant communities along the coast. As a trained marine ecologist, her expertise ranges from more broad concepts such as general biology, and environmental science, to more specialized topics such as estuary ecology and botany.
