Amber Stubler

Amber Stubler is a doctoral candidate at Stony Brook University where she studies sponge ecology. Specifically, she is interested in human impacts on sponges and the ecosystem services they provide. She often travels to Discovery Bay, Jamaica and Bocas del Toro, Panama for her fieldwork. She was the recipient of a Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute Short Term Fellowship in 2011 and continues to work closely with the Smithsonian and its facilities.
